Mr. Metelko has a far-reaching legal experience in representing clients in M&A transactions, litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings, and organising legal teams regarding court representation of corporate clients. During his career he has represented a multitude of clients, both domestic and foreign, in relation to banking and finance matters, corporate and contract law, energy law, mergers and acquisitions, and tax law.

Mr. Metelko has shown excellence in team leadership in the most complex investment transactions.

Also, Mr. Metelko was a Member of the Executive Board of the Croatian Bar Association and a representative of the Croatian Bar Association in the Ministry of Justice working group for the drafting of the Croatian Enforcement Act.

Presently, Metelko is a Member of the Management Board of the Croatian Bar Association.

Mr. Knežević has represented clients from various business sectors, i.e. banking, IT, medical, real estate, retail and tourism. Mr. Knežević has also led legal teams in a number of complex and notable investment transactions. He has considerable experience in various other legal areas which include contract law, copyright, intellectual property law, litigation and arbitration, administrative and constitutional law, as well as in organising legal teams regarding court representation of corporate clients.

Mr. Knežević represented clients in a number of constitutional review proceedings that dealt with the assessment of constitutionality of laws, and which resulted in the annulment of certain provisions of laws by the Constitutional Court of Croatia. Mr. Knežević has also participated in working group within the Ministry of Justice for the drafting of the Enforcement Act as a representative of the Croatian Bar Association, as well as other legislation-drafting working groups of the Croatian Bar Association.

His recent focus includes corporate structuring and M&A transactions in the IT, medical, and real estate sectors. Mr. Knežević is still actively practising litigation dealing with insurance law issues, stock trading, and clearing regulatory issues.

Ms. Bačić Odrljin has vast experience in representing clients in civil, corporate, and other proceedings before the courts and other governmental and administrative bodies.

Ms. Bačić Odrljin’s main areas of focus include contract law, competition law, IT and data protection, and banking and finance. She has also represented and advised clients in bankruptcy and real estate matters.

Ms. Bačić Odrljin is especially experienced in data protection regulation and its implementation in the banking sector and other corporate environments.

Alongside Mr. Knežević, Ms. Bačić Odrljin coordinated a legal team tasked with representing one of the three biggest Croatian banks in relation to various litigation and enforcement proceedings.

Mr. Miljak’s work is focused on representing clients in litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings. He has a far-reaching experience in providing legal services to insurance companies and banking institutions in relation to litigation proceedings, bankruptcy and enforcement proceedings, as well as advising domestic and foreign clients on issues of taxation, bankruptcy, and real estate law.

Mr. Miljak has participated in a number of due diligence procedures and has advised clients in M&A transactions.

In this regard, it is notable that Mr. Miljak has represented clients in a number of complex investment transactions such as the acquisition of a large hotel joint stock company by one of the market leaders in the tourism sector, as well as participating in public takeover bids and squeeze-out procedures for joint stock companies.

Mr. Miljak successfully represented creditors with claims of over EUR 50M in bankruptcy proceedings, which included the cross-border acquisition of secured claims, in-depth analysis of the claims and collateral portfolio, negotiations, and complex contract drafting.

Together with Ms. Bago Martić and Mr. Dilber, Mr. Miljak has for the past several years been organising legal teams that represent a major Croatian bank in court litigation and enforcement proceedings, as well as other cases related to banking and finance.

Mr. Dilber represents clients before the courts and other governmental and regulatory bodies in proceedings concerning obligations and contract law.

Mr. Dilber also participated in a number of due diligence procedures and has advised clients in M&A transactions.

Furthermore, Mr. Dilber advised a client from Southeast Asia on a project regarding the development of a major tourist infrastructure on state-owned land in the south of Croatia, which included the acquisition of a target company which held concession rights on said land.

Alongside Mr. Miljak and Ms. Bago Martić, Mr. Dilber has for the past several years coordinated legal teams that represent a major Croatian bank in court litigation and enforcement proceedings, as well as other cases related to banking and finance.

Recently, Mr. Dilber has been involved in representing clients in proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights and was also involved in a major M&A project in the energy sector.

Ms. Bago Martić predominantly works in various areas of commercial and corporate law, employment, banking, as well as public procurement and arbitration matters.

Ms. Bago Martić has participated in due diligence procedures, as well as numerous projects in finance and real estate matters.

A significant part of Ms. Bago Martić’s work involves day-to-day counsel and representation of domestic and foreign clients in civil and commercial litigation before the courts and administrative bodies, including two major banks and two major insurance companies.

Recently, Ms. Bago Martić has been focused on banking and finance, primarily advising banks on various legal issues. Additionally, Ms. Bago Martić advises clients in bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy settlement proceedings, as well as enforcement proceedings.

She has great work ethic, communication and organizational skills and together with Mr. Dilber and Mr. Miljak she has for the past several years been organising legal teams that represent a major Croatian bank in court litigation and enforcement proceedings, as well as other cases related to banking and finance.

Mr. Kovačević has advised clients in a wide range of civil and commercial law issues and represented clients in various areas of law before courts and administrative bodies.

During his time as trainee, he administrated clients with a large number of cases and participated in the restructuring of a major retail conglomerate. He has also been advising clients regarding land registry law and real estate, especially SPA for foreigners.
